FLORIDA MUSIC AWARDS HALL OF FAME 2025 INDUCTEE: LEE TIGER

cr

Lee Tiger was a highly talented and acclaimed native American musician and entrepreneur in many fields. In 2006 Lee and his brother Stephen were the frontmen for the Tiger Tiger band. The Tiger brothers completed their Native American cultural CD, “Peace from The Everglades, dedicated to the Survival of The Miccosukee and Seminole People of Florida.” The CD received multiple Native American Music Awards nominations in 2005, for Best Pop/Rock Recording and Song/Single of the Year for ‘Heya.’

Following the loss of his beloved brother Stephen in 2006, Lee took time to reevaluate how he and Tiger Tiger would move on to a new era. He eventually made a decision to move Tiger Tiger forward under his direction as a songwriter, producer, and musician to produce an album he titled New Era which features his new 21st-century sound. New Era blends sounds from his past and present major musical influences mainly of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, and The Kinks he voiced.  Lee also includes the Motown rock & soul rhythms that he picked up while playing with his late 60s group called the Seven of Us (that became NRBQ). He recently traveled to the Dominican Republic where he acquired an interest in Latin rhythms and instruments which intrigued him to incorporate into this latest project. The CD opens with the power punch rock song “Red Rocks the Earth,” succinctly expressing the story of the survival of Native American people and the success of the Seminole tribe’s acquisition of the Hard Rock International franchise.

Lee Tiger’s final CD celebrates the magic of the city of Miami along with interwoven lyrics about life, true love, his passion for music, the pursuit of happiness and the joy of sharing his music with all.

He will release his third solo music project in 2017 titled Lee Tiger Chapter II “One Earth One People Together.”  His other praised endeavors in promoting tourism to his homeland and helping build the Hard Rock International are too numerous to mention without extensive reading.
