FLORIDA MUSIC AWARDS HALL OF FAME 2025 INDUCTEE: DAVID FRANGIONI

David Frangioni:  Florida Music Awards Hall of Fame Inductee 2025

David Frangioni is a renowned audiophile consultant, recording engineer, studio installer, drummer, producer and technologist. His love of music started at two-years-old and he began performing gigs as a drummer with rock bands at the age of 12 around Boston, his hometown. At that time, David was solely focused on playing but he followed the trends in drumming to stay cutting-edge. Since the future of drumming was in technology, in essence, he ended up discovering an incredible passion by accident… He was bitten by the technology bug! Word of mouth spread about David’s electronic endeavors and this talented kid of 16 started his own MIDI consulting business. He even got himself an 800 number to consult and design MIDI systems in New England. As referrals grew, so did his depth of knowledge for other types of technology with the instruments and equipment necessary for making music. A big break in his career happened when the band Aerosmith brought him into their camp as their in-house engineer/technologist starting in 1989, and continuing through 2002. He never looked back and subsequently worked on dozens of projects with the band including multiple albums, technology for their tours, videos, and arcade games, the theme song for the Spider-Man animated television series with Joe Perry, and much more.

Working in Florida began in 1994 and he moved here permanently in 1996, residing in South Florida ever since. During his entire 33-plus-year career, David has focused on honing his skills to stay ahead of technology. Over the several years, his focus has expanded to charitable work, hoping to inspire others through art. David started the Frangioni Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization with a mission to engage, teach, inspire, heal, and enrich lives through the power of music, technology, faith, and drumming. One of David’s many passion projects is HIT THE DEC – Drum Experience Center featuring original stage-played drum sets from famous drummers. Youth will be able to learn, play, and be inspired on actual celebrity-owned, iconic equipment. Famous drummers will do clinics and presentations, along with private events on behalf of the Frangioni Foundation.

Throughout his career, David has written for and been featured in numerous technology magazines, consulted with industry icons such as Head Monster Noel Lee (Monster Products), and worked with hundreds of artists (in addition to Aerosmith) including the Stones, Ringo Starr, Elton John, Sting, Bryan Adams, Journey, Styx, Shakira, Rascal Flatts, Ozzy Osbourne, and Chick Corea. He is a recipient of dozens of gold and platinum albums as a technical consultant, engineer, and/or programmer.

As a published author of 3 books in 4 countries, contributor and/or Board Member to charities such as Irie Foundation & Musicians On Call, CEO & co-founder of Artist Development firm All Access IDA, CEO and founder of ground-breaking technology company Audio One having built hundreds of home & pro technology/sound installations, Co-Founder of ProToolsTraining.com, David Frangioni is a modern-day “Renaissance Man.”
